Compassion
As a non-profit Christian Community Based Organization, we are driven by a deep sense of empathy and care for the marginalized and vulnerable in the Watamu community.
Through our programs and initiatives, we strive to embody the spirit of compassion by providing holistic support to those in need. Whether it's through educational assistance, vocational training, healthcare services, or psychosocial support, we approach our work with sensitivity, understanding, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Single Mothers
Single mothers often bear the weight of providing for their families alone, facing financial hardships and societal pressures. At The Watamu Project, we offer support and resources to empower single mothers on their journey towards self-sufficiency. Through our programs, we provide educational opportunities, vocational training, and access to essential services such as childcare and healthcare. By equipping single mothers with the tools they need to thrive, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and create a brighter future for both them and their children.
Orphans
Orphans are among the most vulnerable members of society, often lacking the support and stability that comes from a loving family environment. At LAWELIN GLORY WATAMU CBO, we are committed to providing orphaned children with the care, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. We offer educational assistance, mentorship programs, and psychosocial support to help orphaned children overcome their challenges and reach their full potential. Additionally, we work to create safe and nurturing environments where orphaned children can heal and grow, surrounded by love and compassion.
Needy children
We have had the privilege of transforming the lives of numerous needy children through our dedicated programs. Many children have benefited from our educational support, tutoring, and after-school programs, which not only ensure their academic success but also foster their personal growth and development.
The children we are currently supporting
