We Sponsored 180 Orphans From Watamu
February 9, 2024In Watamu, Kenya We supported a group of women! These strong women, majority of whom are widowed wanted to change their lives but they couln't get any support.
With our help, these women learned how to sew and weave. They used things like old plastic bags and clothes to make bags and mats. They learned fancy weaving tricks and made beautiful stuff.
As they got better, these women felt proud and happy. They were not just making money; they were also helping the environment. They showed others how to use trash in a good way.
These women learned to make weaved bags from waste products.
With the skills they learned they created these amazing products ranging from bags, recyclable pads, high end hand bags all from waste products. Now, their group is a big deal in Watamu. They show that when you learn new skills and care about the world, good things happen.
Their success story serves as a testament to the power of education, opportunity, and community support in unlocking human potential and fostering sustainable development
The group is now entirely sponsored by the Watamu Project
With the money they make, these women can support their families better. They can afford to send their children to school, buy food, and take care of their homes. This helps the whole community because when families do better, everyone benefits. But it's not just about money. These women feel strong and confident. They know they can overcome challenges because they've already done it. They've shown that with hard work and support, anything is possible.
